Colleges in Indianapolis

It hosts the famous race (the Indy 500), but that's probably not a good enough reason to choose it as a place to go to college. What might be is the ratio of students to residents. Depending upon how you count it, Indianapolis has some 800,000 people (the City) or more than 2 million (the whole area), and that's what makes it different from most of the other cities in the Midwest as a place to go to college. It's got very much the same climate as the others, a humid continental one, and so is for those who like to see a definite difference between the seasons. It's also managed to escape its Rust Belt reputation and has been most successful in bringing people and business back into the city itself.
